2.
So long as this Order remains in force,
(1) the provisions of the Emergency Powers

(Defence) Act, 1939, which by the Emergency
Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council,
1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial
Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council,1940,
were extended to the territories mentioned in
the Second Schedule to the first mentioned
Order subject to the adaptations and
modifications contained in the First Schedule
thereto shall apply to the Colony subject
also to the further modification that the
powers thereby conferred upon the Governor
shall be regarded as having been transferred
to, and shall be exercisable by, the
Secretary of State;
(2) all rights, powers and control exercisable
by the Governor, the Governor in Executive
Council, or any officer or authority of the
Government of the Colony by or under any
enactment shall be regarded as having been
transferred to, and shall be exercisable by,
the Secretary of State;
(3) the enactments mentioned in column 1 of the
Schedule to this Order shall have effect
subject to the modifications set out in column
2 of the said Schedule.
3. (1) It shall be lawful for the Secretary of State
by Order under his hand to amend the Schedule to this
Order or to add any enactment and modification thereof
to that Schedule; and as from the date upon which any
such Order of the Secretary of State comes into
operation, paragraph (3) of Section 2 of this Order
shall have effect subject to the amendments so made
or shall have effect as respects the enactments and
modifications
